McGlynns Journey #1
#1
Day One.

First training session with the new recruits of SSL Academy S26 has been completed, A stand out for me when observing was definitely youngster Barry McGlynn. His footwork is incredible and only gets surpassed by his passing ability! He is definitely one of the prospects to watch here in the class of S26. He was a key player in the training match controlling that midfield and was always the target out ball for his team, if he wasn't charging forward with the ball he was springing passes around playing absolutely smashing through balls for the wingers to run on to. He would always linger around outside the box trying to pick up any scraps to have an effort on goal. He didn't pick up any goals but made the keeper work for absolutely everything.

A player he seemed to enjoy playing alongside was fellow Scot Reece Munro. He likes to play just a little bit deeper in the midfield so they seemed to synergise well with each other, Munro was picking up the ball from the defenders or keeper and played it most of the time right to McGlynn. These two could definitely play very well with each other going forward, it would make sense as they both participated in the trials at Milngavie in Scotland so they have that same mentality when approaching games and can rely on each other to pick up on the each others weaknesses to amplify the strength in the midfield.

It's going to be a great season ahead for most of these youngsters in the SSL Academy and by spectating the initial training day today I can tell that any team going into the draft at the end of the season will be lucky to pick up any of these great players.
