McGlynns Journey #2

First week of the start of our journey is over, everyone has been assigned their teams and are starting to gel with their new teammates and getting a feel for their new locker rooms. Absolutely buzzing doesn't even touch the sides of my excitement to get started playing for my new academy team Port Royal FC. I've been drafted with some fantastic prospects so it should be a great learning experience!

I'm fully invested into the experience, I've been hitting the training ground daily... been hitting the gym daily... I've been getting myself around the Academy helping guys out the best I can. I'm just hitting up everyone asking all the questions I can to help me go into every game, every week and the end of the season draft with as much info I can to help me get to the level I have a desire to be at.

That level... is hitting the heights of the Major 1st division, the level of ability is absolutely insane and definitely my dream!

I decided to go around to the academy vault. It's basically a library full of recordings of archived games in the leagues and the cups. You can watch absolutely any game, from multiple points of view to take it all in, it's actually quite spectacular the level of thought and detail this academy goes into for it's rookie superstars!. What a journey it's going to be... everyday just thinking about it gives me butterflies. Damn I did not expect this! A level of intensity and togetherness in the community I didn't actually think I could actually buy into as It's not something I've ever put myself out there into before but I just find myself always wanting more.

And you can't get any more than the first game of the season, wow what a rush it's going to be. To walk out... at home in the Royal Green against Sydney City in 72 hours. Not long at all... time to prepare.
