The drama you missed from S27 - Unexpectedly Mid

It's been a really long time since I last wrote something, and there are so many cool stories that I wanted to share and post about at the time they happened, right now they seem less and less relevant.

First of all, we went watching the usual SSL Predictions Board and almost all of them did put Romana in last, after seeing how badly we were smoked at London when we reached Division 1. But funnily enough, we won our first game against Hollywood, the reigning champions. I was about to make a poster about it and something like a journal. But since then we went yoyo-ing between wins and losses : we narrowly lost the very next game, won the game after that, and lost our most recent match against Shanghai after dominating all game long.

Then, on London's side, we were expected to win all of our games, which we... did ? The highlight of our most recent game against a newly created club is me conceding a free-kick to one of the worst free-kick takers in the league, transforming a somehow narrow victory into a draw. 

In the Cup we were okay at best. We took our revenge at Kaapstad in the Qualifiers, and now we have to face Catalunya, the team which is expected to walk over every Majors Division 2 team and secure promotion easily. I wanted a revenge for the 100-Year derby so badly I said to my manager I would not move to the Major team until I beat them. The actual Major team's keeper is from S23 so I should not expect to be promoted that fast, right ? Right ?

 

After our Cup game, I got called into the OM's office. I was surprised at first, then I got pumped thinking it was just about praising my recent performances (and even that game's performance too). When I got there, he told me that the Major team's keeper had a severe wound, and even if the SSL doctors managed to get him fit on time, the effect on his performance will be felt, and he'll take some long time before he gets back at his usual level of performance.

"And why do you need to tell me all that, I asked.
- Because in the meantime, you continued training. And as things stand right now, you are our best goalkeeper.
- Does it mean...
- Yes, we want to move you to Romana next season.
- Wow... Did you talk to Letsie about this ? I asked, after trying to recover from the shocking news.
- I will talk to him about this, but I don't think he will be opposed to it.
- Boss, we have a problem. I'm really happy for this opportunity, but after what happened last season, I promised myself to not move to Romana before we defeat AS Paris.
- Oh... So, that means... S29 at the earliest.
- Or maybe... Maybe we manage to beat them in the Cup.
- Good luck with that ! You know where to find me if you change your mind ! he said laughingly, as I was leaving the office."

I don't know if he knew, or if he foresaw this, but later we saw the announcement : our next opponent was CF Catalunya.

Anyway, I think I'll stop there. If there is anything else that is worth it, I might do an article or a visual about it, like usual.
