#3 Media Day [Now Open to S26 Players]
Career task 2

Dennis van Huntelrooy has officially secured his first ever major sponsorship deal. Signing with Raid: Shadow Legends in what is believed to be one of the most unexpected commercial partnerships in Minors League history. The deal marks an important step for Dennis, with the aerial dominant attacker becoming the first footballer to join the ever growing list of people apparently deemed worthy of being sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends.

The terms of the agreement have not been fully disclosed although one condition has been confirmed by both parties. Whenever Dennis scores he will be contractually required to perform a specially choreographed Raid: Shadow Legends goal celebration. The celebration reportedly involves Dennis kneeling down, pretending to open an Ancient Shard (we do not know yet how this will work) and then striking a pose inspired by one of the game's featured champions that week before being allowed to do anything else, like returning to his half of the pitch.

The celebration must be no shorter than  ten seconds, meaning Dennis will have to commit fully to the celebration regardless of the match score, no half assing this one. Should he score multiple times in one match the contract states that the celebration must be performed after each goal.

The sponsorship is expected to provide Dennis with additional "exposure" throughout the season. While Raid: Shadow Legends gains a footballing representative for its already long list of sponsored "influencers". Insider sources claim the company was particularly impressed by Dennis his potential to bring the game to an entirely new audience, people that watch football just a slight level above Sunday league football which is believed to be a hugely untapped market.

Whether the sponsorship will be a net positive for any of the parties involved remains to be seen, perhaps Dennis will eventually find himself featured in the great game of Raid: Shadow Legends. But for now, Dennis has to practice a couple featured champion poses for his celebration.

Jimothy Erickson after having a rough beginning to his season but ending his season in regular play winning 3 out of 3 games with London and scoring 1 goal for them today has announced he has agreed to a sponsorship deal to very well known company ACME. While this company has yet to do anything with the great sport of Football they are very excited to have Jimothy as their first sponsor in the game. In there press release they say "After our lawsuit from Wil E. Coyote allegedly claiming our products are a scam and do not work in the intended way we want to show the world that this is not the case, Jimothy will be our light bearer and show our product lineup. We will be providing any gadget Jimothy needs to better his training and match experience. Although most of our gadgets our banned in the league due to the chance of mutilation and bodily harm we feel that Jimothy can make the most out of our legal products such as ACME Asprin to help with the pain of getting relegated, our ACME Water Pistol to help cool Jimothy down {checks notes} in rainy London during training, and our favorite product the ACME Instant Awakener to help with all the travel and jet lag issues Jimothy raves that this is his favorite item on our line." Later in a interview provided by Jimothy himself he said the following "ACME is paying me alot of money I am very happy to promote their EFFECTIVE products but Wil E. Coyote's lawsuit holds merit and we should see what the courts have to say about this, their is a clause in my sponsorship if Wil E. Coyote is found to be right my sponsorship with ACME will be voided and they will have to pay me an extra 100 million dollars. I am confident Wil E. Coyote's lawsuit will find ACME negligent because no where in the contract my agents and lawyers drafted said I couldn't bad mouth the company and they didn't read the void clause, I am also excited to announce I have a boot sponsor from Adidas I love the predators and they are always my go to boot!"

After establishing himself as one of the most dominant players in the SSL who only played half the game, Ignignokt finally received an offer worthy of a Mooninite. His agent sent him the request, a national corporate sponsorship from MoonPie.

The partnership almost didn't happen. When MoonPie first contacted Ignignokt, he was more concerned about why an Earth company had been using the Moon's name without permission. He accused them of "interplanetary trademark infringement" and threatened to sue. Instead, the two sides worked something out, and Ignignokt became the newest face of MoonPie.

The partnership launched with the slogan "Earth Made. Moon Approved."

Ignignokt began appearing in national television commercials, digital advertisements, and MoonPie displays across the country. One commercial showed an opposing striker racing toward goal before Ignignokt effortlessly stepped in, stole the ball, and launched it back upfield. He turned toward the camera and explained that defending against Earthlings was "embarrassingly simple for a Mooninite." He then held up a MoonPie and declared it one of the few Earth inventions deserving of his approval.

MoonPie also released a limited-edition Ignignokt MoonPie, featuring his pixelated green face on the wrapper. Fans attending select matches received special packages containing collectible Mooninite cards, while every clean sheet Ignignokt helped secure during the campaign triggered a MoonPie donation to local youth soccer programs.

Of course, Ignignokt had a few demands of his own. He wanted a lifetime supply of MoonPies, official recognition as the superior Moon-based life form, and absolutely no involvement from Err.

That last part didn't go so well.

A few weeks into the sponsorship, Err was caught inside a MoonPie warehouse eating his way through Ignignokt's lifetime supply.
Despite that setback, Ignignokt considers the sponsorship a success. MoonPie gets its new spokesman, Ignignokt gets paid, and people across Earth are buying a product with the Moon's name on it.

In his own words, "Your planet may be primitive, but your snack cakes are acceptable."

This whole offseason has been a whirlwind for Saphira. First, she was ending her first season in the minor leagues with the AF Masques Sacres, and the next thing she knew she was being traded to one of the two new organizations in the SSL, the new Ittihad Riada Casablanca team. If that wasn't enough, she actually had world-renowned brands reaching out wanting to sponsor her!

She had many offers on the table, which was quite overwhelming for all that she had been going through lately, but her manager kept pushing her, telling her that "they weren't going to wait around forever". Saphira had wondered how true that statement actually was, but regardless, she sat down and started to look through them all.

Pretty quickly in her search one company had stuck out to her. The company was named Jagex, and had been operation for around 30 years. That was already a lot longer than she had been alive, and although she wasn't familiar with the company, their years of operations had made her feel like they would be a good fit fer her.

She flew out to meet the leaders of the company in between practices in Casablanca and quickly learned that she had pegged this company all wrong. She had assumed them to be cabinet makers, as Jagex was the name of the woodworkers in her home village. Apparently, this company was actually a video game company? Oh well, she came this far. Might as well see it through.

Saphira and the man had a great time conversating about all things life, and he was actually a huge fan of hers from watching her play at Jakarta during her Academy season. He started to talk to her about the game his company created, Runescape, and told her the gist of the game. As soon as she heard him say "It even has dragons! Just like you," she was sold. This would be her first deal, she knew it was destined.

As she stomped her foot into the ink to put it to paper, a butterfly flew past her nose. She sneezed, and a little jet of fire jumped out of her nostril and singed the contract on the upper edge.

"How better than my first branding deal to be truly marked by a dragon," she laughed to herself as she flew away, back to Casablanca, and back to getting ready for next season.

Owen Goal's agent presented him with several diverse corporate sponsorship options. But with the caveat that he could only select one. This was because between football (American football) and football (soccer) he would only have enough time to support one major sponsorship at this time. His agent was able to help him pair down the options to two very different companies.

The two companies were Durex and Target. In general, both had similar terms and expected financial benefit. Ultimately it would be up to their pitch and how well he liked each of the brands.

Target's pitch had to do with always hitting the right target.

The Durex pitch was: scoring where it matters, safe everywhere else.

To Owen Goal, the pitches seemed comparable with Durex maybe slightly ahead. What really shifted the tide was Target's controversies revolving around rolling back DEI initiatives. Owen Goal being of Maldivian descent did not feel like his people were being well represented at Target. On the Durex side, he was a frequent user of their products which really resonated with him. Truth be told, he hoping to get a lifetime supply..

As a result, he chose the Durex partnership. What an amazing partnership it became. Their first collaboration based on that initial pitch was one of the most famous and impactful corporate sports sponsorships in history. Some say Owen Goal is the Michael Jordan of Durex. Durex named him their Head of Ball Control and Chief Protection Officer. When he was informed of those decisions, he immediately updated his LinkedIn to reflect his new roles. Their second collaboration was centered around the concept of being safe even when scoring in different goals. While this was not necessarily the intent, this campaign was especially popular with the LGBTQIAS2+ community. Through that popularity, Owen Goal became an ally for people in those communities and met some of his closest friends. To Owen Goal, this corporate partnership was really a perfect fit.

S Sei was approached by a few executives in fine black suits, after leaving Jakarta facilities following his season there as academy manager. They took notice of his league media relating to Pokemon mascots for teams, along with his penchant for stylizing himself with related merchandise in his casual wear and within his personal interview space in the dorms for academy staff and players. They represent a team of collectors, themed with a large R as their logo.

Their first meeting over traditional Japanese food for lunch went very well. Their pitch for sponsoring him even aligned with his new goal in personal skill development; growing on defense, which will help him control the whole field more. "As much as you steal possession on the field and control the game from all aspects to push your team to victory, you should be represented by the team that does that better than any other".

Of course, there was a discussion that Team Rocket no longer operates on stealing Pokemon for evil, but instead for the sake of modeling, designing, and producing merchandise. Sei walked away from the meeting with a sleek set of black blazers with the bright blue R on the reverse side and pattern around it, along with sweat bands and shoes in those colors; each of these contained the name "Umbreon" in the empty space which along with the color showed off his favorite Pokemon in their branding.

Future parts of the agreement include working with their executives and "employees" to improve the training and management processes, and designing new lines of sportswear and casual wear based on Sei's new style, Magyar with Noivern-inspired design, and Shanghai with Giratina-inspired design. He would also appear in commercial ads for them, along with staring in a music video that would have a group riding in a large Drifblim while the song re-imagines the original Team Rocket motto.

This partnership would go on to be fruitful for both sides, and definitely not encourage any criminal activity.

After the promotion play off game McGlynn was the last of the locker room to leave the stadium. He was approached by his agent and another person he never recognized. This person looked vaguely familiar to him put couldn't picture where until the man told Barry his name and where he worked and before the man could finish what he was saying Barry said "Bulkhead Games!", This man was the executive producer for the upcoming video game Wardogs! Barry reemembered seeing him on the Bulkhead youtube channel several times as he followed the development of the upcoming game that he couldn't wait to get his hands on!

The man said he had heard of McGlynn being a fan of the game and wanted to offer a sponsorship to him to try and help promote their upcoming game Wardogs! Barry was buzzing! He got invited out to their HQ back in Derby, back in the UK and it was something he always dreamed of seeing. A building full of like minded people who love FPS games and want to make the game of their dreams! So they got to chatting as to how this sponsorship would work and he couldn't wait to get started. Helping be part of their playtesting, helping being a part of some development diary videos and also be a guest on their upcoming livestream shows devoted to FPS games called "The FPS Games Show!".

With their announcement of their early access release date and a closed beta weekend, Barry was completely on board and over the moon with how the development and pure transparency of the devs had been in regards to potentially his future favourite game Wardogs. He had always had a side hobby of FPS games on PC and this was completely up his street and he was super excited to be offered the opportunity to play and also help test and develop the game!
