Brian Duke is an Albanian Goalkeeper that plays for Montreal United. First seen in the SSL universe in Albania, Brian Duke has a very odd background. While playing for the Kansas City Coyotes, he suffered a concussion in practice. When he woke up, he somehow ended up in Tirana, Albania, in the training grounds of the best football team in the Albanian Superliga, Klubi i Futbollit Tirana, short name KF Tirana. As he looked around the field, he was surrounded by players from KF Tirana, asking many questions in Albanian, a language he was taught by his family, who were ethnic Albanians who immigrated to Boston. “What is this guy doing here?” asked one, in Albanian. “I have no idea, but I do know that I am not where I belong”, Duke responded in his own language. This is when the coach of KF Tirana walked up to Duke and told him where he was, the training ground of KF Tirana. Slowly realizing that he was in the training grounds of his parents’ favorite football team in Albania. He immediately jumped up to his feet and shook the coach’s hand. Duke told the coach “KF Tirana was my father’s dream team to play for before his career ended with an injury, seeing this as an opportunity to continue what he could not, I would like to prove my worth as a football player for your team.” Duke explained. The coach and the teammates noticed Duke’s 193 cm stature, and as such, asked what position he played. One cocky player on the team took a jab at Duke, saying that “a useless man such as him can do nothing but stand on the net and hope he can stop at least one shot.” Duke took this personally, inviting him and everyone on the team to a game to prove his worth. The team was divided into two teams, the starting 11, and the reserves and Duke playing at goalkeeper. In the game, Duke, to everyone’s surprise saved 8 shots and conceded one, with the team’s best player scoring a shot that tipped off Duke’s glove and in the goal. As such, the team went into overtime, where Duke saved an additional two shots, and conceding no goals in both halves of the overtime. As rules dictate, a penalty shoot-off was held. The first player on the reserve team hit top right of the goal to go up 1-0, the first of the starting eleven players missed far right, keeping the score 1-0. The second starting eleven player attempted shooting bottom right, but Duke was there, and saved the shot. As the penalty shootout progressed, the starting eleven team started coming back, with the score being 3-2 reserves. The final shot taker was the man that provoked Brian Duke. Duke, seizing the opportunity to pour salt in his ego’s wounds, he closed his eyes, saying “I’ll make it easy for you, I’m going to close my eyes, and go right, if you make the goal, I’ll leave the country and go back where I came from, and if I save it, you have to take back your words from before, and the team must allow me to have a chance to play on the team." The cocky player laughed, expecting an easy goal to send the foreigner away from his practice ground. Duke started his penalty routine, jumping right to left with his eyes closed, pretending to tend to save the shot on the right. As he heard the player’s footsteps get closer, he smirked, knowing he would shoot left. As the football was kicked by the cocky player, he jumped from the far right of the post and reached the ball and saved it. Everyone on both teams paused a few seconds in shock, before Duke was mobbed by the reserve team, celebrating for beating the starting 11 team. Duke walked up to the cocky player and whispered to his ear, “I used to be the best youth goalkeeper in the United States, and there have been plenty like you who think they are the next best thing and have the same face when I shut their asses down.” He then walked to the coach, who as many Albanians are, stuck to his word and allowed Duke to play for KF Tirana, where he dominated as the best GK in the Albanian SuperLiga before opting into the SSL draft. Brian Duke joins many SSL prospects as a guy with odd circumstances, who has adopted a new sport, and seeks to carve his name into football greatness. APPROVED (bit bizarre though)

Akiel Adams was born in Kingston,Jamaica. His parents loved to watch the Olympics and especially Usain Bolt. Akiel wanted to be fast just like Bolt and would run all day and all night starting when he was a child and until he was a preteen. Once while on a run a football rolled onto the street Akiel was running on. The kids asked him to play along in a street game. The dribbling came naturally and along with the speed. Akiel had a new-found love. Everyday with his new friends they would play Futsal and Street games where flashy plays were common. The group was approached by a scout for Jamaica's youth national team. Despite not playing formally, Adams began to look like a wonderkid in the making. The pace that Akiel could play with was electric. It was apparent that a player who can run for hours and hours and unbelievable speeds was a midfielder from birth. The now Jamaican sensation was outgrowing his island country and was being scouted from teams across the world at just the age of 15. The team in charge of developing such a talent was non other than AFC Richmond, Who else but Ted Lasso to help shape a future superstar. This was the perfect situation as the unorthodox and family environment of the club really helped shape Akiel into a playmaker and leader that can make a difference at any given second on the pitch. There was even a game where he was a sub in at just 17 years old for the senior club. That same year he would lead Jamaica to a Caribbean Cup victory. Already the hero story was beginning to come out of the island nation and across the world at just how much of a blossoming prospect he is. There was a lot of pressure mounting from this and the ball was in AFC Richmonds court on what to do from here. In the end the team is deciding to let the young man enter the SSL in hopes to make a real name for himself and to become the greatest Jamaican footballer ever. APPROVED

Fara Dian's life has always been the push and pull of two worlds. His Moroccan father had come to Casablanca (Dar al-Bayda) as a young man with dreams of big business. His mother was the daughter of Swiss and German diplomats working to establish better relations between Europe and Africa in a post-colonial world. They were drawn together by their differences, but these often opposite worlds have been difficult for Fara to reconcile. During his early years in Morocco, his ebullient mother encouraged his youthful impulses for play and freedom. It was in this spirit of the streets and playgrounds that he first found soccer and engaged with the joy and beauty of the game. But Fara was a smart child and his father believed that only academics and business could offer a secure future (as he had worked for in his own life), using his own prospects to move the entire family to Bern before Fara turned 10. Schooling took over much of the boy's life, though he continued to play soccer any chance he could get. His talent on the school pitch could not go unnoticed and soon scouts were visiting the family home. Reluctantly, with great urging from Fara's mother, his father allowed him to join a talent development academy, for as long as his studies continued diligently. Fara doubled-down on academics only as a ticket to grow his life in soccer. The more rigid and tactical Swiss-German system suited Fara's intellect, teaching him how to read the game and utilize his vision in a holding role. Additionally, trips back to his native Morocco kept him in touch with the free flowing and creative style of soccer in pickup games with his old mates. Having joined the academy later than others of his age, Fara has often felt a step behind developmentally, passed over for regional and national teams despite his known qualities. The desire to merge the field-marshaling tactics of his club training with the creative explosions of his childhood may be a lifelong struggle for this young player looking for an opportunity to show his true self. Now on the radar of the SSL, he looks to take the next step as a professional, to make a career out of what he loves by combining his father's analytical mind and his mother's joy for life. F. Chicken was always one of the tallest of his age group. Playing in the youth of the local team groene ster he was always looking for the goal. With great height comes a lot of heading opportunity in the youth teams and this way Chicken learned and become better and better at heading the ball into the goal. At age 13 local Keukenkampioen division side Roda JC. Eventually being rejected for not showing a lot of promise besides heading, this caused Chicken to try and become a more well-rounded striker and becoming better at shooting than most players at his local side. After 3 more rejections from local sides MVV Maastricht and Fortuna Sittard and a bit less local side VVV Venlo Chicken came home to an invite from the KNVB to play in a new game they organized this season, this was a game for new players to show off their ability in the hope to be picked up by one of the teams in the dutch football leagues. During this trail match he showed up and quickly got picked up by the club who had first rejected him, Roda JC. During his spell in the youth teams of Roda JC he showed a lot of promise managing to get all the way up to the B team and eventually getting his first call-up in the main team. His debute came in the 74th minute of the opening match of the season when the first-choice striker got off with an injury. At that time Roda JC was 2-1 down and eventually Chicken managed to make the 2-2. But in the next game tragedy struck when he tore his achilles tendon taking him out for most of the season. At the end of this season Chicken slowly came back training in the B team. But throughout that year and the next year it never was to the level that now two years ago got him his call-up to the first team and his contract running out Roda decided to not renew Chickens contract. When he got home that day Chicken send some letters out to other teams that might be interested in the hope he would get a second chance at a new club, that is when not even a week later he got a letter informing Chicken he had been chosen to participate in the season 7 draft for the Simulation Soccer League. Deciding to not waste this great opportunity Chicken took his stuff and got ready to participate for whichever team saw the potential in him to pick him in this up-and-coming draft. Jerzy Moder was born in the Galicia region of Poland in the south eastern city of Rzeszow. Growing up Jerzy’s parents were diehard Stal Rzeszow supporters in Poland’s 2nd league, and their love for the game rubbed off on Jerzy. From a young age, Jerzy was given a football and taught how to play by his dad who was a former player himself that once played in the Polish Extraklasa before receiving a career ending injury. Jerzy fell in love with the sport, and it was a way for him and his father to bond, while also pursuing something that he really enjoyed. Jerzy continuously worked hard, in order to one day reach the SSL, the premier league in the world. Jerzy’s parents rarely watched the SSL, as their nation did not have a team in the league, and as such just focused solely on domestic games. Jerzy however had posters of AS Paris, Tokyo SC and others in his room with the dream of one day making it. Jerzy focused on his development in the sport and climbed his way up through the lower divisions of Poland’s domestic league, and eventually suited up for his home side Stal Rzeszow. This was a dream for his family as at the age of 16 he made the starting squad for the home side, and everyone knew the young Moder was gifted. With the way he saw the pitch, and his work ethic they gave him the nickname of Motor following a play on of words of his last name. Jerzy really became the heart and soul of the team being seen as a workhorse, and helping Stal Rzeszow reach the Extraklasa, something they had not been able to do before. The gifted Moder had ended up doing what he set out to do in Poland’s domestic league, getting his beloved hometown team into the premier flight in the country, and make them actively competitive winning a title. Now Jerzy just hoped that he did enough for the agents and scouts of the SSL to notice him, as the only logical step left was to get drafted into the SSL. Murphy was born to an Irish father and an English mother. Although he never thought he'd have to make the choice between the two in terms of playing football. His career started at high school, in PE, it was there the school team noticed his talent and took him with them to a tournament. He played at LWB as the school team lost every game they played. However for the next 3 years he was moved upfront, playing LW or ST sometimes and he never lost a game again. This got him the attention of an academy that develops upcoming British talent, and the spent another 2 years there, mainly developing as a striker. Now he ahs entered the world of football, ready to make a name for himself as a professional, but mostly just looking forward to playing football again, where his journey as a professional will take him he has no idea, but he hopes one day he will get to be in a position to play for either one of his countries, but for now he has to focus on his domestic career, and starting one.

Italy has a reputation of birthing some of the best footballers of all-time, and left winger Jacob Rizzo is no exception. Born in Ciminna, Italy, all that young Jacob Rizzo dreamed about was playing football. His parents were happy to let him pursue his passion as they knew he had a natural talent. From a young age, he showed an incredible ability with the ball at his feet and could dribble past any opponent while attacking from the left. Rizzo had the potential to be a professional footballer, but the move from Italy to the United States meant that he would have to work harder to earn his spot. He was put on trial with the U-17 United States national team and impressed scouts with his natural ability on the left wing. He soon signed a contract with Sporting Kansas City, one of Major League Soccer's top clubs. Once he got his chance with Sporting KC, he took it and ran with it - establishing himself as a starter on the left wing. He found success there as well - scoring 10 goals in his first season and winning MLS Rookie of the Year. Rizzo made a lot of progress throughout the year, impressing both fans and coaches alike. But just when he was settling into his role with Sporting KC, Italian giants Inter Milan came knocking. They offered him a multi-million dollar deal to return home and play for them. After careful consideration, Rizzo decided against signing for Inter Milan. In his heart, he felt like Sporting KC had given him the opportunity to become something great. Besides, he wanted to establish himself here before making a return back home. So instead of accepting the offer from Inter Milan, Rizzo stayed put and continued playing on the left with Sporting KC. And boy has it paid off! Ever since deciding not to sign for Inter Milan last summer, Rizzo has flourished under coach Peter Vermes' guidance. He started the 2022 campaign brightly by scoring six goals in his first nine games, including two during a 4-0 victory over Minnesota United. That game showcased what he can do best - using speed and technical skill to get behind defenses down the wing. Heather Bull didn't spend too much time playing soccer growing up. She spent more time rocking out with her bandmates in a band named Chronic Tooth. While on stage during some of these crazy concerts there were always beach balls flying around in the open venues and if they ever ended up on stage, Heather was always able to jump and headbutt them out back into the crowd, all while still playing bass. While on tour, Heather's band ended up across the ocean and playing on stages in the Europe. She quickly noticed that among things flying around besides beach balls, there were soccer balls bouncing around as well, or "Foot balls" as they say. As they came her way, Heather was still able to head butt them back into the crowd. They crowds would go wild and they were amazed with her skill to rock out and still handle a football so well! This did not go unnoticed as local sports media was sure to point it out and share it on news outlets where football fans could see it and be just as entertained! Bull started to meet with country's Football Clubs across the globe as they continued to tour and they even took her through team practices and warm ups. They were all happy to have her on board and were big fans of what she was capable of. In an unexpected turn, Chronic Tooth started to have issues with it's band Members. Arguments about the band's music direction started splitting band members apart, others were not fans of the attention Heather was getting and felt either left out or jealous. The band eventually decided to part ways, some going solo into their own music careers or producing but one band member's career took an incredible turn. With all the attention Heather got from her European tour, Football clubs were reaching out immediately. They wanted her around the team! To take part in team media as well as being a social presence during games and the team's athletes wanted her in the locker room. Bull was offered contracts from many clubs but didn't think it was fair to just sign to a team and instead decided to train and work hard along with the help of some of her friends she made on the road and became a draftee for the S7 SSL entry draft. Bull's hard work paid off as they managed to get drafted 6th overall to L'Association Sportive de Paris! Heather couldn't believe it. From a music career the promptly ended to a football rookie. Heather was immediately welcomed to the team with open arms and got straight to work in training with the team. They didn't just want to fizzle out this time, and she certainly wasn't going to let her teammates down. APPROVED

Liam Ryan (born 12 Jan 2004) is a Australian professional football player currently playing as a Right Back/Right Wing Back for Laos Red Star in the SSL division 2. Liam had a typical childhood being born and raised in Sydney and was always playing some form of sport whether that was at school or in his backyard. Liam's family could tell from a very young age that he had a tremendous gift in the sport of soccer and always encouraged him at soccer games. Liam was known as the kid who put everything on the line in order for his team to win the games which is why he loved right wing back so much being able to defend and attack at the same time while being crucial parts of both. Liam was scouted by Sydney FC's academy at the age of 10 after leading his team to winning the top junior league and impressing numerous scouts. All this didn't stop Liam from being humble always never being cocky and was a very encouraging teammate in the academy. Liam's parents encouraged him to watch the premier league matches to learn how the best right backs play so he could take that to his game. At the age of 15 Liam decided to move to England to pursue his dream of playing for some of the better teams in Europe. At first Liam found it very tough transitioning to English football but after the first couple weeks he started playing well and got an offer to join the Manchester City academy which he immediately accepted. Although after a tough next few years riddled with injuries and poor performance Man City decided to cut Liam from the academy this motivated Liam to get extremely better and take himself to new heights. When Liam turned 18 he played in a league that was just below the professionals which was a game that a lot of scouts attended and Liam impressed heavily from the match. After the match was over not many scouts were willing to take a chance on him given his injury history but SSL club Laos had no concerns with Liam and signed him to their expansion side. APPROVED

Lennox Prakash was a player spotted by scouts as a promising talent from a young age. Prakash came through the junior youth system in Australia, one which often requires a certain amount of wealth to go through. He is a player who grew up in a wealthy area and a player who had to compete with the very best from a young age. This player was born in Sydney, Australia. He started his footballing career from a young age, becoming invested in the beautiful game from young and continuing to show this interest throughout the entirety of his career up until this point. He started off playing for his local club on Saturday afternoons, being supported by his parents and the local community. After showing promising signs at this level of footballing, scouts would soon become interested in this young Australian prodigy. He was wanted by many professional footballing clubs for their youth systems. He would soon be selected to represent his state, New South Wales, against rivaling states within the country. He showed many promising signs by this point and was highly sought after. This was the point where he was picked up by a professional team to play in their youth system, the Western Sydney Wanderers. This was a large jump from the level he was previously playing at, but it proved no issue for the young man. He would start off slow in his first few games, but would soon be known by many across Australia as one of the best young Central Midfielders in the country. After many other impressive performances for his club, he would gain interest from other overseas teams. Teams from European countries which were interested in his services. Prakash would later sign with FC Barcelona to play for their Under 17’s squad. This was a successful move for the young man, being able to showcase his quality on a much larger scale, impressing many within the nation.
