Peregrin Plink was born and raised in what is likely the only city in Iceland that most people recognize: Reykjavík. With a distinctly un-Icelandic name, it is most often assumed that he's from a boring old commonwealth country, but that is very much not the case. It immediately becomes apparent once you meet Peregrin in person that he hails from the sparsely populated Nordic island of a country. His father hails from Canada, where soccer is largely the sport everyone (including Mr. Plink, historically) plays to pass the time until hockey season comes back around. Luckily for his son, Papa Plink fell in love with Iceland after a year long work placement and would go on to make it his permanent home along with Peregrin's diehard football fan mother.

In case anyone was wondering, Emilía could not be more pleased that her only child not only chose the correct sport, but is also about to be playing at the highest level in the world. When asked about the reason for his success, Peregrin is always very quick to point directly at his mom. With her unwavering guidance, he rose rather organically through Rejkavik's humble, yet robust football program and managed to make a name for himself without ever having to leave his homeland. That last part in particular was most definitely a conscious effort on Emilía's part, and she would never deny it.

While he did have dreams of being drafted by Reykjavik United and playing for his home city's team, the young central defender wears the Schwarzwälder (formerly Accra) colours with unbridled pride. He literally could not even tell you at which number he was drafted (third, for the record), because he was just that ecstatic to be chosen by the then Adowa Accra FC. Peregrin's pre-draft scouting conversations with management there were far and away his favourite, even when they made it abundantly clear that he would need to focus on cementing his often unintentionally neglected defensive fundamentals. #11 is now poised and ready to grow into his role as Schwarzwälder FV's resident sweeper, and fully intends on having a long and storied career with them.

CODE

358 words

APPROVED

Otto was always into sports. Or at least from the moment, he could understand what sport was. Despite that soccer was never on his radar being more interested in Baseball or Hockey. Out of those two though Baseball was all he truly cared about and loved with no doubt. He started playing Baseball when he was eight years old and was pretty decent at it. He played a wide range of positions over his youth starting out in the infield at second base since he had pretty poor arm strength for his age which had a little to do with him being the smallest in his entire age group. As he got older he moved to the outfield and started to catch up with everyone else as far as height is concerned but in arm strength as well. When it came to hitting he was okay but nothing special. After turning thirteen he realized that baseball was something he could never continue with when he eventually finished school so he looked elsewhere. There wasn't any hockey around but soccer was everywhere. He always had a sort of hatred for soccer since he usually just saw players flopping on the grass like dead fish. Once he started watching and learning the game he loved it. Since he was a bit behind he decided to be a goalkeeper. Playing baseball gave him some excellent reactions and hang eye coordination so it seemed perfect. And spoiler alert it was in fact a perfect fit. He was a natural at it better than anyone in his age group. He instantly became a starter and had scouts and pro clubs reaching out to him. Hes on track to going pro and he's already started preparing for the draft where he expects to be a top pick. And if he's not he'll show those teams that skipped on him their mistake ;)

APPROVED

Julian O'Sullivan was, despite what the name suggests, born in Vienna, Austria and not in Dublin, Ireland. People always get confused about that part but Julian is as much an Austrian as Mozart and Strauss.

Julian grew up in Vienna, in one of the outer districts and spent his youth playing soccer in one of the many 'cages' around parks and in public housing, where kids would play soccer in a playground type structure with goals and such. It is how most people in Austria first get into soccer, before then joining a youth team, usually first in your neighborhood and such. Like many, his talent was quickly seen and he moved from his neighborhood team to one of the big Vienna teams, Austria Wien.

There he first donned purple and moved through the youth teams until joining the pro team at sixteen, very early for anyone in the league.

That is when he made the decision. Instead of continuing on his path in Austria, he would move internationally and join the SSL and would become a big star in an international league and be able to move somewhere completely new in the world in an effort to be a soccer professional and a star striker.

He had always had an affinity for finding the net, always standing in the right spot to get the goal. That is also what he will try to do for any team that drafts him in the SSL and will do his best to stand out to scouts. He will want to help his team win championships but also to score as many goals as he possibly can to etch his name into the history books of the league.

Where will Julian O'Sullivan go in the draft and help that team? Find out soon when it is time to draft him into this illustrious league!

APPROVED

With the sounds of heavy traffic in the background, due to the nearby highway, one could barely hear themselves think. To Guillaume Desormeaux, however, this was just another Tuesday afternoon at the training grounds in his native town of Boisbriand, at the corner of the Grande Allée boulevard and the 640 highway that severed the town in half. After 10 years of practising at this facility for 6 days a week, he became accustomed to the noise, to the point where it almost soothed him, and allowed him to focus entirely on his daily routine, whichever one it was for that day. Today, for example, he installed a few barrels in the 18-yard box, and practised his crosses - thoroughly and repeatedly, as he does for every aspect of his game.

Desormeaux has always been a student of the game of football (or soccer, as they call it in Québec) - laser-focused on improving each aspect of his technical skills in any way he could, on and off the ball. His natural quickness and pace made him a terrific winger at the local level - as is indicated by the obscene amount of trophies and individual honours he has won over his youth years, with only a national championship eluding him. His adaptability was also lauded by all of his previous coaches, stating how much they appreciated his versatility and ability to be used on both wings, or in a more retreated position on the field. However, his ambitious nature told him to keep pushing, keep striving to reach a higher tier of competition, where he could truly be tested and walk among the elite of the sport.

While he still had a year of eligibility with his alma mater, and could very well decide to enroll within the C.F. Montréal's academy programs, Guillaume opted for an alternative route, one he had heard from a few scouts - the Simulation Soccer League. In this league, he heard, the calibre of play is outstanding, and the 16 teams that live in this relegation-enabled, two-tiered ecosystem were always on the lookout for fresh talent that could help elevate their teams to the top of the world. Because, as opposed to most leagues that only ever span one or two countries, this league is fully international, featuring some teams in locations that are not known to be glamorous, but that show a certain fervour when it comes to their local teams.

In just a few months, Guillaume will enter the SSL system - where he thought he would go through the Academy process, but instead, his late declaration for the league made him a draft candidate for any of the top 16 clubs right off the bat. He's cautiously optimistic, and cannot wait to see in which part of the world he will continue his soccer journey.

APPROVED

Ivica Knezevic Biography

If you have to think of a country in the Soccer world that is constantly overachieving, that is producing world class talent at a consistent rate and has a successful national team despite being rather small and certainly not rich, who would you think of? Well for me, that country would be Croatia and today we will be focusing on another one of this nations bright young talents, that might be able to join legends such as Luka Modric, Davor Suker or Mario Mandzukic in the nations Football Pantheon one day.

Ivica Knezevic might not be a household name yet, but he comes with a lot of promise and some lofty expectations among football insiders despite still being a youth academy players that people expect to be a couple of years away from being ready for pro team action. A Defensive Midfielder, he has impressed Scouts with his vision, composure and playmaking abilities as well as some healthy physicality in one of modern footballs toughest positions. Like many of his countrymen, he didn't pick up all those skills at home though.

Croatia isn't just a country whose superstars usually play outside of its home league, it's also a nation with a huge diaspora all throughout Europe as well as the United States. More than half of all Croatians live outside of Croatia in countries like Bosnia-Herzegovina, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France or Italy. Ivicas parents where to of those emigrated Croatians, who left their home country and went for Germany when he was just two years old, where the family still lives to that day. Ivica grew up in a simple working class houshold, in a family that wasn't dirt poor but faced many of the challenges and hardships that immigrants experience around the worlds: discrimination and cultural conflicts, economic inequality and lack of opportunity compared to the native population despite being well integrated and perfectly speaking the league. But this doesn't seem to have held Ivica back so far and if his career so far is any indication, then this kind of adversity is something that makes him stronger.

APPROVED

Jon Garfield was born in the beautiful city of Kelowna, Canada. When he wasn't spending his time on the beach in front of Lake Okanagan, he would almost certainly be found kicking a soccer ball on the fields in Kelowna, or even on the street with other kids in the neighbourhood.

He began to shine as a player, specifically as a defender in the beginning of high school. To draw a parallel to another sport (baseball), much like Aaron Judge, Jon Garfield had a decided size advantage over many of his peers of the same age, even competing on teams more senior than his level. His ball handling skills left something to be desired, but his pure athleticism bailed him and his team out of many tough situations that would normally result in a goal against.

Locally, Jon Garfield began to attract some attention from some of the domestic leagues in Canada, which are of course lesser known than the Simulation Soccer League. Those leagues were the Canadian Premier League and the Major Soccer League of Canada and the USA. Jon Garfield was invited to join the Whitecaps FC Academy in Vancouver, moving a few hours away from his hometown to begin honing his craft even further with a professional club.

While Garfield did do well and progressed decently during his time with the Whitecaps FC Academy, he wasn't able to crack the reserve team and get some playing time, mostly due to his young age. For this reason, after being scouted, he decided to join the Academy in the Simulation Soccer League, and was selected to train with Atletico Medellin. While Colombia is a great distance away from Canada, it is a sacrifice that Jon Garfield is willing to take in order to have a great professional career in football, and he hopes that this will lead to being drafted in the Simulation Soccer League.

CODE

316 words

APPROVED

Bayley de Allie is a forward who just joined the SSL from Grenada. For those who do not know, Grenada is a country in the Caribbean right near St Vincent and the Grenadines. It is a small island with a population just over 100,000. de Allie started out very young playing soccer as this is actually a pretty popular sport in Grenada. This is his chance to make a difference for his family and show him why they put him in so many camps and in so many different places of playing.

de Allie was not one of the best players in Grenada. He always was someone who tried so hard and just had to work harder than others. His goal was always to Outwork everyone. That is how he got to where he was. de Allie was one of the players that coaches love to coach as he will just listen and do everything he can to succeed. But skill wise, de Allie was not always there.

His break came during a travel tournament in which his team had to go to the United States to play. There was a scout there that saw de Allie and loved what he saw. He immediately went back to the team which was the New England Revolution of the MLS and said that we need him. The Revolution would go out to talk de Allie but he decided, it really just not for him. He hates snow and cold, so it's just not worth it to go out there. But, the buzz was out there.

Finally, SSL came calling. There are different places he can play, so this is a little bit more effective than moving everyone to the United States. His parents and siblings are happy to move as they can get the money to see the world. This really started the journey and what he needed to get his start. From unknown to stardom. Outwork. Everyone.

Words: 328

APPROVED

based on a true story and inspired by my irl life (im 16yrs old rn)

(i built my ssl player based off of my playstyle irl)

American Footballer to European Footballer (504 words, I went above and beyond I should get extra credit jk)

Born on 2007, I grew up in Hawaii. At the age of 5, I grew up playing both american football and european football. My tough football dad wanted me to play american football and my sweet and loving mom wanted me to play european football because she didn't want me to get hurt. As I played both, I dominated both as I was the best goal scorer of all the islands in Hawaii in my youth years (hawaii has 8 islands and population of 2 million). In American Football, I dominated with hattricks of touchdowns of many games. My grandpa always told me that I should focus on one sport to go professionaly in and I chose American football because its the most popular sport in Hawaii and I had thought it was the best sport because I was blinded by America.

Now entering middle school, I chose to play american football and to stop playing european football. As I dominated american football all the way up to 10th grade I originally thought that there was no going back. That was until the
2022 world cup showed up and all my friends that played european football inspired me to watch it. Specifically my best friend in which he was the biggest ronaldo fan. My best friend then inspired me to become a ronaldo fan too and I knew it was meant to be because my mom introduced me to ronaldo when i was younger (probly because hes hot) and showed me highlights and even bought me a ball with the "cr7" (cristiano ronaldo #7) initial and neither of us knew what it stood for until the 2022 world cup.

The 2022 world cup was the world cup that made me realize that european football is the biggest and greatest sport of all time. After world cup, I decided that I was gonna play european football once again and return back to my prime and train harder than everyone else because I was behind so many years. (I'm now better than everyone and ready for irl club and school season). I then won many tournaments here in hawaii and became the top prospect and eventually went to an AS Roma camp irl to hopefully tryout for their youth team and eventually tryout for the Italian National team. (wish me luck btw hopefully I make the AS Roma youth team)

Also, Ronaldo was one of my biggest reasons I wanted to play european football again because of how great ronaldo is and because I was a younger version of him with same playstyle, height, curly hair, same haircut, skin color, 6 pack, athletic specimen, and great at european football. (Ronaldo is better than Messi btw).

Finally, I can't wait to join the SSL as a top youth prospect. My promise to my future team is to be a teammate first and an individual last because the team is the most important. Thank you so much for reading this! It pretty much sums up my irl life

APPROVED
