#1 Biography [Open to All Players not in regression]
Roquefort Cotswold was born in Besancon, France. His parents were the current rulers of an international cheese empire. They travelled the world to distribute and sell the fine cheeses of the French countryside. I should also mention: they're rats. Roquefort stood out among peers at a young age. His rat feet allowed him to move swift agility, even as a wee lad. His rat tail gave him unparalleled balance, allowing him to twist and contort his body in midair. His little rat paws and stubby arms were designed to prevent hand balls and other penalties. His long, robust snout was designed to give him the reach he would need when heading the ball. All of these traits meant he was destined for one thing: domination.

Having the opportunity to play in school in France, Roquefort's life greatly changed when his parents crossed the Atlantic to introduce Wisconsin to their cheese. Now stuck in rural America, Roquefort lost the opportunity to play against high end competition. It seemed that soccer was a dwindling memory, a candle burned out too bright too fast. But that all changed when he discovered the SSL. He quickly signed up for the academy, looking to prove his worth at the international level. Growing up he always played with some flair. He wasn't one to stick to a specific position, rather he based his play on the flow of the game and did whatever his intuition demanded. As a gut-based player he was inclined to play "fluid" positions, such as Libero or Trequartista. With his position ambiguous, he enters the academy looking for guidance and coaching to help solidify his place on a team.

With a nose for winning and a knack for the ball, Roquefort is sure to impress. With the coaching and training technology at the Academy, he's looking to bring his game to the next level.

APPROVED @roquefort - may your player have a nose for offence at least as good as his nose for cheese.

Puma Superhoops, is the child of a dual heritage upbringing.  He name represents that upbringing.  When he was born way back in the 80s/90s his family was following two different teams.  It was much harder to follow teams across the world at this point and the two places they could follow were the Mexican League and the English league.  On the Mexican side Unam Pumas are just cool and had a guy Mike Sorber that sealed the deal.  And so he was named Puma.  But it was in London where the love was really found.  On the West Side of london in W12 there was a team called Queens Park Rangers, and since this family was living across the pond in the borough of Queens, it was just Kismet.  Now QPR was a good team, with a very long and storied history.  They were sometimes kind of bad, but they were always the SUPER HOOPS and so Puma Superhoops was destined to be a futbol/soccer/football star.
He comes from a large family and in elementary school he would always be chasing around his older brothers to learn from them how to play the beautiful game. He would use anything that was around if he didn’t have a ball to work on his control and dribbling.  He would use pebbles or rolled up socks; anything small and round that he could find.  AS he grew older he would work on his running and you could always find him whenever he had a spare moment running around doing wind sprints and working on his stamina and work rate.  If he wasn’t the best he would be the hardest working.
He worked hard hard in the youth leagues working his way up and now has made it up to the cusp of playing in the SSL.

Cam'Ron Bailey III player page

Cam’Ron Bailey III who am I just a kid from Brooklyn tryna do what he loves. At my stature their weren’t many sports that I could truly look to for trying to make it big. But ever since I got the ball at my speed its been full speed ahead. To quote my coach you have a different level of explosive athleticism in that small frame of yours and since then i’ve used that natural ability to climb the ranks. Now sadly despite the natural talent I had quite a late start so I have to my playing career so I had to transition early. Luckily my youth playing cornerback in football helped me work on my footwork and read body language. This helps me know how to drive past defenders and I think i’m bringing a different level of excitement with my play their are few players even thinking of doing some of the things that I would with or without the ball. But back to how I got here after my coach recruited me he played me in almost every position besides centerback and keeper. In his words he was trying to figure out where I was the most dangerous. But after that year of experimentation at age 11 I was made a full time attacking midfielder and it’s been curtains for my opponents since. Since then all I can remember is when my coach said he thinks that I could really go pro. Since then it’s been nights at his house breaking down film or on a field taking touches and shots, dribbling through cones. Or even my runs at 5 am mayber earlier if I didn’t play good in the last games. My coach is one of the most important figures in my career always being 100% honest about what I need.

APPROVED @Heart0verheight3 - nice moxie.

Marian was born in Rzeszow, Poland and what one might not expect is that he is directly related to Florian Soderberg-Motyla of the SHL. Marian was born to Tomasz Gorgon, and Natalia Motyla, sister of Florian’s father, making the two of them first cousins.

While Florian grew up in Poland’s southern mountains playing winter sports, Marian grew up in Eastern Poland and took to football at a young age. As Marian’s parents typically worked, and majority of Marian’s family living out in Zakopane, about 3-4 hours west, Marian was typically left alone to his own devices.

In order to keep out of trouble, Marian would go to the local field and work on his dribbling, playing pick-up games with the local children as a way to pass time. A professional footbaling life was never really something Marian dreamed of. If you were to ask him what he wanted to do when he grew up he would sit there with a confused look on his face unsure of what to do with his life.

When Marian was about 9 years old, by some stroke of luck a scout from a local club was walking by the local field where Marian would play and practice for fun, and stopped to watch. What he saw was a raw, unpolished talent. The scout had contacted the local team to inform them of Marian, and funny enough Natalia, Florian’s mother arrived at the field to usher Marian home.

In this moment the scout approached Natalia, and Marian was invited to try out for the local U-10 Club, and to come out to the camp that was being held the following weekend. Natalia turned to Marian and asked if this was something he wanted to do, and Marian shrugged, agreeing to at least give it an attempt, without really expecting much.

At the camp Marian showed his potential, specifically with his explosive speed, vision and his ability to find a teammate anywhere on the field. Marian lacked in scoring but the chances he created had the opportunity to be completely elite. At this point Marian was signed with the U-10 club and continued to further his development until being accepted into an Academy Team with the direct opportunity to be drafted into the SSL. A dream he never had, that just fell into his lap.

Fernand Rivest - Player Page

If you’re well versed into the beer league hockey scene of Quebec, you’ll be well aware who Fernand Rivest is, actually, if you’re into beer league hockey at all. While he’s more of a local hero in the eastern Canada province, his exceptional showing at the Chamonix International Beer League Championship left hockey fans speechless and garnered some international fame and recognition from that point on.

If you’re less well versed, here’s who Fern is. Fern doesn’t work, he’s too pure and excellent for this. He’s dedicated to his craft at being the best to wear the pads for the Chez Stan Boys, he’s dedicated to his boys that go out on the ice every night, but above all, he’s dedicated to his obscure hockey trivia. In fact, he never missed an opportunity to let his teammates know about the performances of obscure 1970’s goalies. He was a locker room favorite, an absolute gem to be around.

When he had enough with getting pucks hurled at him at ridiculously fast speeds, definitely not because he was getting evicted from his apartment after he was unable to manage his welfare checks, Fern chose a new venture of greatness: soccer. Yes, soccer, not football, Fern is proudly québécois, and he’ll say soccer and laugh at you if you say otherwise.

It was evident that his cat-like reflexes that served him okay in the icy worlds of hockey would do him good in the soccer lands as well, as he very rapidly made an impact in his local pick-up games whenever he found it in him to make the effort to participate in those games. As time passed, he figure he should try his hand at a better level of soccer, and everywhere he ended up, he was able to compete, relatively easily, which led him to enter the SSL draft and pursue a career in this sport, get out of welfare status life, even with him entering his late forties. Watch out league, here comes the Fern.

APPROVED and TPE applied @Frenchie - though I was distracted by the notion of Beer League hockey being played in Chamonix.

Yoma Hashimoto was just a good looking young adult walking around the city of Morioh, enjoying his time of peace and solitude, until he was met with a production manager who scouted him out due to his fine physique. This chance encounter landed him positions as a professional model and eventually as a secondary actor in a popular detective movie. After building his connections, his manager gave him one piece of crucial advice: all popular people exude an aura around them. He was then told to build some muscle and hit the gym to enhance his beauty, and he went into it with 100% motivation.

Going to the gym everyday, meeting with his trainer, and undergoing a brutal regiment, he managed to gain a lot of muscle in the span of only a few weeks, impressing his girlfriend, Mika, with his progression. However, he started to marvel at his beauty, and he increasingly believed that nothing else mattered but him and his gains. He would live at Mika’s apartment since it was relatively closer to the gym than his own house, and he bought gym equipment with her money to continue to work out at night. Not only that, but he became more aggressive and crass, yelling at a delivery driver for ringing the doorbell 3 times, refusing to eat anything Mika made for him unless it was part of his strict menu, and not taking a break from working out at him at the behest of Mika. After a month of this behavior and Yoma eventually turning the apartment walls into a rock climbing bouldering course, Mika broke up with Yoma and kicked him out of her apartment. A tragic loss as they have been together since before the manager scouted him, but this would not stop his grind to achieve the perfect body, one that looks to have been sculpted by the famous Michelangelo.

After his acting gig, he parted ways from his old manager and was left without purpose. He would still train and exercise, but for what? That was until he found out about the SSL. Why didn’t he think of this sooner? A sport that requires strength, stamina, and speed such as soccer would be the perfect place to test his mettle and to show off his beauty and gains. After pondering for just a few seconds, he signed up.

Yoma, with his extensive training, has developed his body to the point of near perfection, achieving high speeds and being hard to shake. Whenever he stresses his body to go beyond his limits, his muscles would warp to be in the shape of wings, specifically in the trapezii, ankles, and other areas. He prefers to dribble the ball down with his speed and agility, and while he does prefer to stay in the midfield as an Inside Forward, Shadow Striker, or Advanced Playmaker, he is open to swapping roles for the team (showing his character development!). Now, he strives to be the fastest, most beautiful athlete on the field, and with his unwavering determination, he will surely climb the ranks at breakneck speeds!

Where to start with Orlando mustache Maldonado as a young boy he grew up in Panama watching some of the great players play the game on sand on the streets and Fields doesn't matter where as a boy in Panama if you found a ball you were playing football. So how did Orlando find himself to be joining one of the most premier leagues from his poor start on the streets of Panama. This is a long story that we're just going to be able to scratch the surface of in this initial biography post.

Orlando grew up as one of seven kids. His parents were big supporters of in the international football scene, and Orlando and his siblings would always find themselves listening to the games on the radio. So it was no wonder that Orlando would take up the ball himself when he was old enough to start walking. He joined a youth team at age 7 not too early as compared to other tragedies but Orlando worked hard. He was a hard worker and as he grew older and bigger he found himself more often than not playing with the ball on his foot kicking the ball finding a wall the whole shebang.

When Orlando finally reached the age majority when he was able to think about joining the league there was no question as to when he would enter. His goal was to show off his hard work to football skills from as soon as possible. Orlando's favorite thing to do is to just lob balls really far and watch them fly he would sit there as he kick the ball hoping to be someone there to catch it on the other end. So after all of his hard years of practice this is when he started to come to join the League and he is ready to tear it up.

APPROVED and TPE applied @z0rem - Love it. I grew up with sports mostly on the radio.

Jia Yun grew up in South Korea, watching and playing baseball originally. Finally she was introduced to the idea and game of football and instantly fell in love. While football isn't the biggest sport in the country, it is definitely growing quickly in popularity, especially around the women's game. As a youngster Jia had a few ambitions in life that weren't around being a football player, but they did revolve around being a star. Jia always knew she was going to be a star and acted like that from a young age. Jia was convinced that she was going to be a Kpop Idol and learned how to sing and dance at a very young age. This actually helped her develop her quickness and elusiveness on the pitch when she decided to devote her life to football instead.

Doing contemporary dance, ballet, and hip hop, gave her but agility and dexterity she would then use in the game of football. Jia at a young age played with the boys on the field a lot as she was much quicker than most of the other girls. She worked tirelessly shooting on nets in her hometown to develop a wicked precise shot, something to this day she still prides herself on.

As her skills developed she got noticed by the Korean national team and then the European leagues. She ended up moving to Spain around 15 years old as she got ready to go pro. Jia hated leaving home and quickly returned before her 18th birthday to play for the U20 South Korean national team and vowed to always come back home for that honor. Her time overseas gained her a better understanding of other players and different styles of games.

She was able to translate that greatly and quickly became someone sought after in the SSL as she was getting academy calls right away. She finally settled in and got to work in the SSL academy.

Julian Rubio led an unremarkable life. Born with natural talent but no ambition, Julian spent most of childhood uninterested in the world around him. He wasn't someone who cared about sports, friendships, or any of the typical interests of his peers. Instead, Jualian was the embodiment of laziness, content with a life that required minimal effort. He preferred spending his days absorbed in mobile games and television shows rather than partake in any physical activity. His disinterest in life was so profound that he didn’t bother thinking about his future. His extraordinary abilities went unnoticed and unused and might have been hidden forever, but fate had other plans. He was slumped on the couch, half-asleep with his phone balanced on his chest, when his brother Manuel thought it would be funny to mess with his comatose brother. Manuel grabbed an egg from the kitchen and hurled it at his brother with all his strength expecting it to crack and spill all over his head. But Julian, still barely conscious, used his foot to catch and cushion the egg. The egg, surprisingly intact, rested gently against his foot. Manuel’s jaw dropped in disbelief, he couldn't believe what he had just seen. He immediately ran to tell their father what happened. Their father was shocked and immediately told his son to start playing soccer. Julian resisted at first but eventually, he gave in, realizing that it would be easier to play soccer than to argue with his father. Julian signed up for his school's team, hoping that the coach would just let him just sit at the end of the bench. But despite his desire to remain unnoticed, his natural talent made it impossible. Julian became the team's star striker, with his effortless control and accurate finishing quickly making waves, and growing up in a small country like Andorra meant that word spread fast, and his talent was soon recognized by coaches throughout the country. As Julian’s reputation grew, so did the opportunities. Offers from prestigious clubs across Europe came flooding in, but Julian found them overbearing and too much work. With his father pressuring him to make a decision, Julian chose to join the SSL because its 14-match season required much less effort.

Born from the union of Gernt and Evelyn, two German members of a “Médecins sans Frontières” mission who met in Iraq, Thomas Hohenhahn very quickly became very tall. Born in the Hannover region, he started playing football at the age of 9, and very quickly faced doubts from the parents of the other players as well as the referees concerning his very advanced physique for his age, which pushed his coaches to have in all time a copy of his identity card in order to limit protests.

Recruited from the youth clubs of Hannoverscher SC at the age of 13, young Thomas brought his club three Lower Saxony regional junior cups as well as two championships won from local rival Hannover 96. His unusual size coupled with his acceleration and his formidable heading game have made him a renowned Target Forward, attracting a lot of curious people in the north of the country. This is how he was courted by the country's top clubs and made his first transfer.

Joined by VFL Wolfsburg's second team at the age of 16, Hohenhahn made a strong impression in the 3. Liga, scoring 32 goals in 36 games, all with a fair play, almost chivalrous attitude. Promoted to the first team of the team owned by Volskwagen, the “German giant” managed to score 17 goals and make 8 assists for his first season at the top level with the greens.

His successes on the Bundelsiga pitches earned him the favor of the SSL Super League teams, who invited him to join one of their academy roster.

Thomas Hohenhahn's unusual athletic profile, very similar to Sky Ryze, should interest many rosters. His valiant side in duels and his desire to do well should also increase his rating even before the announcement of the rosters for the mini-championship.
