Badrick Blackwood V sentenced to 40 years in maximum security prison
#1
SSL academy prospect Badrick Blackwood V has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after a raid during a Port Royal training match, conducted by the Jamaican special forces working in conjuction with the British SAS.

Last Friday, a joint special forces task force raided the training ground, where the Jamaican was taking part in a training match under the watchful eye of his armed entourage. After a brief shootout which killed all of Badrick's men as well as a Port Royal kitman, Blackwood surrendered and was arrested under suspicion of kidnapping, aggravated escape, gang affiliation, burglary, and drink driving. As the Jamaican was dragged away, he reportedly called the soldiers "cracka p****clarts" and told his shaken teammates to "kil [themselves]," perhaps for not helping him shoot his way out.

It is suspected that his longtime adversary Louis Ashworth was the driving force behind the arrest, allegedly having extensive influence in the SAS, who freed him after he was abducted by Blackwood.

The wing-back appeared in court this afternoon where Ashworth along with the SSL commissioner, whose house was reportedly burgled by Blackwood, and Istanbul striker Predrag Dobric all testified against him. The jury found Blackwood guilty on all charges provided, with the judge settling on a 40-year sentence after the defendant submitted a "no contest" plea to all charges. The Jamaican will be held in a maximum security INTERPOL prison, becoming eligible for parole after 25 years.

Despite Blackwood's extensive sentence, it is not unprecedented for him to make his way out of justice, however such a task does not seem very feasible this time around. Will Badrick Blackwood show his face in the SSL ever again?
